Freediving (Apnea) Classes in Lompoc, CA and Catalina Island by Ocean Sports Dive Shop

A new Freediving (Apnea) Class is now being taught by Ocean Sports' very own Shaun Crouse, PADI OWSI. We're currently taking reservations for our April 20th class, a max of eight people. So hurry and put down your deposit to reserve a space in the next session. It will start out in the classroom on Wed the 20th, going over all the gear and techniques that will help you achieve up to a 3 minute breath hold in the pool lesson that weekend. Then you get the chance to move onto the second session for Ocean skills and a day of Freediving on Catalina Island, with the option of spearfishing, kayaking or underwater photography after the class is finished. 2015-16 CA Spiny Lobster Season starts Saturday Oct 3rd: Night Diving gear on sale at Ocean Sports Dive Shop in Lompoc

Are you ready for the 2015 Lobster Season Opener this Saturday October 3rd? If not, we've got all the gear you need to make your very own Lobster Dinner happen this season! If you're venturing out on a night dive you'll definitely want to start out with some of these great Princeton Tec dive lights that we have in at the shop with a wide price range, sure to meet any budget. Then it's onto game bags and gloves with lots of variety for each different lobster diver. And as always, whether you're a freediver or scuba diver, make sure to check all of your gear before going on your first dive of the year or in the last 6 months. Some of you may be in need of an air fill, defog, a new wetsuit, regulator, fins, mask, weight belt, dive weight, etc. We've got it all, so just make sure your dive gear is Ocean Ready before diving in! And of course don't forget your current Fishing License, Lobster tags and a CA Lobster measuring device for each diver before leaving town for a dive site. It's sure to be a great season, good luck everyone and happy diving on your 2015 Lobster Season opener!!  =)
