2014-15 CA Spiny Lobster Season starts Sep 27th, 2014.

 

We at Ocean Sports are getting ready for one of our favorite times of the year, Lobster Season!! It's a great past time for local divers, scuba and freedivers alike! There are lots of great dive spots just off shore where you can hunt lobster to your hearts content. So get all that dive gear out of your garage and dust it off so you can safely get your Bug Hunt on!! Emergency First Response (EFR) is the fastest-growing international CPR, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid training organization. The award-winning programs and state-of-the-art training materials make it a favorite among every individual and/or business, giving you the confidence to respond to medical emergencies — not just in the diving world, but in every day life with your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. EFR courses are dedicated to training the lay rescuer CPR skills with AED and First Aid training.

Many divers take the Emergency First Response courses to meet program prerequisites, such as PADI Rescue Diver, or as preparation for becoming a PADI Divemaster.

PADI Advanced SCUBA Classes with Ocean Sports Dive Shop in Old Town Lompoc Feb 2014

Happy New Year everyone!!! We're starting off the year right at Ocean Sports by planning some great classes in the very near future. Our next PADI Advanced Open Water Class is starting on Wednesday February 5th and we've still got a few spots available. It's a great class for any Open Water Scuba certified diver looking to expand their knowledge and skills in diving. It's a class made up mostly of diving and only a couple classroom sessions. The reading is light and the diving is tight! :) So give us a call at the dive shop or stop by soon to pick up your Advanced Open Water Crew Pack to get started! 

And if you're not SCUBA Certified yet, don't worry our next PADI Open Water Class starts February 26th! For those of you looking forward to the PADI Rescue Class come in to put your name on the list because we'll be starting one up soon after the Advanced Class finishes.
